Andrée Jardin, craftsman brushier, and the soap factory Fer à Cheval did not have much difficulty to cross paths and collaborate on a common project. Different parts, but many shared values. The most important being the traditional and artisanal work for superior quality. They combined their know-how to offer the Heritage Gift Set, sleek and elegant, including a soap dish, nail brush, and authentic Marseille soap. A box containing 100% natural products. Includes one Heritage Nailbrush, one Heritage soap holder, and one 300g Fer a Cheval Marseille Soap.
Elaborated without perfume, coloring or preservative, this soap has been appreciated for generations for its hypoallergenic qualities.
About Fer A Cheval: Fer à Cheval has been operating since 1856 and is now the oldest soap company in Marseille to continuously use traditional, age-old methods. These hard soaps are crafted using four simple ingredients: seawater, vegetable oil, ash, and lye. The result is natural, certified organic, gentle products beloved for their simple goodness.
This sold out months ago on 3 different websites. I was so glad Pink Pig carried this item. I am big on reducing waste and plastic and have transitioned over to French Soap earlier this year. The wood and brush are aesthetically beautiful when paired with the right size Fer a Cheval Kitchen Block Soap. The soap stays on and the brush does a good job of cleaning. It's a great set to have in the house!
The brush and soap set is quite handsome. The brush works well and the soap is great. The only problem is that the soap sticks to the wood, and the brush falls off when trying to release the soap. I'm not sure how this can be resolved, but if the base was a little larger, it might help.
